Impact Grant Applications Due Oct. 26, 2012

Thanks to The USAA Foundation, DVEF is proud to once again offer Impact Grants of up to $500 for innovative programs, projects, or activities that would otherwise go unfunded.

Any DVUSD professional with a desire to enrich student learning experiences within DVUSD is encouraged to apply.  This includes Principals, Teachers, Counselors, Nurses, Media Specialists, Parent Organizations (partnered with anyone listed above), and all discipline areas, but consistent with the District Strategic Plan, Student Learning Priority 1, Goals 1, 2 or 3.

All grant application submissions must meet the following funding criteria.  Each Impact Grant must be intended for programs, projects, or activities that benefit students that cannot otherwise be paid by DVUSD or other sources, supplement and expand upon traditional learning experiences through the innovative use of materials and/or activities, reflect sound pedagogy in both design and implementation, adhere to the educational goals of DVUSD and AZ State Standards and District Curriculum, be consistent with the 2010-2013 DVUSD Strategic Plan, Strategic Priority 1 - Student Learning, Goals 1, 2 or 3:

-       Goal 1:  Students will demonstrate proficiency in essential skills in reading, mathematics and science.

-       Goal 2:  Students will demonstrate mastery of 21^st century skills in communication, collaboration, organization, critical thinking and technology.  Skills will be integrated into language arts, mathematics, science and social studies.

-       Goal 3:  District graduates will be college and/or career ready.

Applications will be reviewed by the District’s Education Services Department and the DVEF Program Committee and/or Board to evaluate each proposal to verify that it aligns with the above stated funding criteria.  Final funding decisions may be made by the DVEF Board of Trustees.
